Writing SEO Articles: Five Steps To Success

1. Select the key word that you will use throughout your article, there are numerous free online tools that you can use to search for key words. And don't use your key word more than between 2-4 percent in your articles. If you use them more than that the search engines may penalize you, because it may seem to the search engines that you are only writing to attract their attention not providing useful content.
2. Create a strong title for your article since the success of your article will depend heavily upon having a strong title. And keep in mind the fact that the first four words of your titles are the most important, because this is what the search engines will pick up first, so always put your key word in the first part of your title.
3. Next write your introductory paragraph outlining the basic thrusts of your article and setting the tone of your piece. In this introductory paragraph you will want to do one of two things, you can tell your reader about the benefits they will obtain by continuing to read your article. Or you can point out the current problems that they face, and let them know that if they keep reading you will provide a solution.
4. Develop your article in three or four additional paragraphs arranged in a logical order, and use a conversational second person voice just like your reader is sitting there right in front of you and you are talking to them. Use plain simple English that is clear and easy to understand, avoid jargon, and strive to make what you write interesting, and valuable to your readers.
5. Use your conclusion paragraph to basically summarize your introductory paragraph and tie your article into a neat tight package of about 500 words. The good old tell them what you are going to tell them, then tell them, then tell them what you just told them, a time tested method to be sure. And be sure to write yourself good resources box for your article with a strong call to action to get your readers to click through to your site.
